Saban knew that whole game was over before it started. He was desperate. Clemson OWNED the intangibles. I called a 21-point (3 TD) win and we overachieved. Those guys were not up to par. They lacked the motivation and drive to win all things being equal. When you have two relatively equal teams playing, you look at the intangibles.

Did you notice the coin toss? No one has mentioned this, but the Bama players kept their helmets on and strapped for the meeting midfield. We had our helmets off. I just thought it was kinda tacky really. I always thought captains shook hands with their helmets off pregame. Anyway, that and watching Alabama enter the field I knew it was over.

We could (should) have hung 50+ on them.

if you know the defense is in prevent and you're going to run a fake. Call time out. Put the Offense back in there if you MUST go for it. Which they did.

You have a better chance with the ball in the Offense's hands than what they did
