the CFP Committee's stated purpose is finding the "Best 4". There is no formula. Yes, they give weight to certain things, such as head to head and conference champions... but the ultimate charge is to find the "best 4".
That essentially means it comes down to what they think. You could argue UGA is better than OU. I don't think OU's Big 12 title, or only one loss, makes them better.
More deserving? Maybe. But that is not the stated criteria.

UGA cannot be the best ONE, because they've already lost to the current BEST ONE.
FOUR others (not ND) have shown they're the best ones of their conferences and three of those deserve to prove they're the best ONE.

Wrong.....that only applies if you play for the SEC.....much easier to win national championships when you can get two teams in the fight....,Go Tigers!!!!!

teams are about the same as they were last year to me. UGA lost a game they should have won today. UGA would not be considered for a title in old BCS or before BCS with 2 losses. I don’t think they deserve a chance this year either
