I have spent a ton of time in Minneapolis the past 4-5 years. The site isn’t far off. Some of the parts of the city have just been destroyed. It’s what no education, lack of assimilation leads to and will continue.

They took them all in though, so they can deal with their consequences.

"We," not "they." During the early 90's, the US government *assigned* refugees to Minnesota simply because they had the best volunteer resources (many of them churches) to help. And my in-laws live in Minneapolis. I've spent time there in the "bad parts" of St. Paul, and it's no worse than the poorer parts of NC, SC, and GA.

And while we're on the topic, if there's anyone having trouble assimilating, it's the affluent white folks moving farther and farther out from the city and into exurbs to avoid interacting with brown people. Self-segregation isn't just for the newbies.
