military members throughout history. Purple signifies wounded and/or KIA to the military and it happens to be one of Clemson's school colors. To me, it's a no brainer. On top of that, when i see it I'll be thinking about all of the WIA's and KIA's from my unit in Afghanistan in 3d Battalion 5th Marines ('10 - '11) to the tune of 38 killed in action and 181 wounded in action. I knew each and every one of them and put 12 of the 38 in body bags and about 30 of the wounded on medevac helos. Wear it for them and understand that because of them we are free to go to games of all kinds in a free nation.

super-secret until the last minute? I think the classic orange-on-white unis are among the best in college fb but I wouldn't mind seeing our guys rock the purple from time to time. You've gotta think the players would enjoy mixing it up a little.

Would love to see the entire stadium, including the team, in purple for this one game. Our military is more important than any game or uniform color.
