I have reading the Post and Courier since the 60's. 100% coot paper. They only report positive things about Clemson when they have no other options. All of their so called journalists are coots.

Is something inaccurate in this story?
Just because we may not like the content of the story, attacking the messenger doesn’t make it untrue.
I realize that is standard operating procedure for many and it is troubling.

Smith discussed “potential payments to be made to Zion Williamson’s family,” according to reporter Matt Norlander of CBS Sports.
Smith never made that quote.
Smith should be fired immediately if it is true that he was trying to get money for recruiting Zion and lied to his boss about it and tried to suck the football program into his lies.
He will be fired today.

However, people are not logical, and have and will continue to assume that it is clear evidence we're running a dirty football program.
It's 100% speculation and guessing as to what Smith meant with his comments on the football stuff, but that runs wild.

is to stop the bleeding (at least from a PR standpoint).
The last thing we need is this dragging and media and law enforcement like ants at a picnic, because NO MATTER WHO YOU ARE they will find things the more they dig, even unrelated to the issue.
So right now, this needs to be plugged. If that means letting people go, then thats what it means.

Like I said, I am confident in Dabo. I think a full investigation would find no inappropriate behavior in the football program...then I think Dabo is permitted to beat the living heck out of Smith for bringing Dabo’s program into his filth. Just kidding of course...just throw the bum out.
I don’t have a lot of passion around what we do with CBB at this point...Smith joked about hiding what he was doing from Brownell so that speaks to Brownell running a clean program...or so he thinks, at least. But on the other hand, he’s had a cheat on his staff for at least seven years, right? He clearly hasn’t created a culture where they know they can’t pull stuff like this. PLUS, Smith committed a cardinal sin by even mentioning Dabo’s program. If CBB has to be let go to make a statement, I won’t lose an ounce of sleep. Another multimillionaire who will probably find another job in 15 minutes if he wants.

If all they have is that, each statement could be clarified.
The major concern to me would be the potential of visiting Zion's house, but even those instances could be just drive-bys and we may have the opportunity to visit former Clemson basketball players - I don't know the rules.
Evidently we aren't high enough up the Food Chain to even get money.
The suits at football games could be - we look after our players and buy them suits, which is legal, since we VLOG it happening.
OF COURSE IN THE DAY OF SENSATIONALISM IN JOURNALISM - the press will publish innuendo!
