I would offer a few things to consider

1) Some of that talent was overrated by services.
2) Some of that talent while good, came with the worst character. Not a surprise, it's FSU, but recent athletes seemed especially bad the last 3 years.
3) Some of the talent mentally checked out when Willy came in.
Add in a few injuries, adaptation to new coaches & new playbook and you have a complete collapse.
With that said. I think all of the above is still only responsible for about 75% of the issues last year. The remaining 25% does fall on current coaching staff as there were WAY too many times the entire team looked out of sorts, confused, and played with no intensity. All that is on the coaching.
He's got another year to get them playing hard and not looking like an uninspired high school team.

and dont forget the backpack. they probably took the rest of the starch out of them. JImbo'steam got like Boobys. Couldnt run the ball and became one dimensional. That will catch up with you

Willie’s record everywhere indicates it will take 3 years to get on track. FSU was immensely talented but the culture ate it all up.

Similar talent that Jimbo went 5-6 overall and 3-5 in the ACC in 2017.
