I wonder what Christian Wilkins is thinking these days

Sep 15, 2019, 8:59 PM

To go from the best championship culture at Clemson to that dumpster fire situation in Miami must be tough to deal with.

I'm sure he is giving his all while the ownership is apparently trying to lose.

Yep. Feel for the guy.***

He only has to be there for what , 3 years on a rookie contract ?
Situation in Miami is probably the worst in the NFL right now .
Poor CW .

Nah 4 for sure then they also have a fifth year option on first round draft picks.

He's being well paid to play a game for a living

in a tropical city.
Gotta be a better situation than being in Buffalo, Pittsburgh, NY Jets or Giants, and other mediocre expensive cold weather cities..

Knowing him he's probably thinking he's willing

Sep 15, 2019, 9:07 PM

to give up a little money to be on a competitive team.

He probably also dreams at least once a week about being back in Tiger Town.

They are tanking on purpose to get draft picks. He just

But Feaster had a choice. Could have stayed. And Christian is earning a big paycheck.

10 carries, 33 yards, 3.3 yards per carry against Bama. He should have stayed.

Is this code for "black guys can't coach"?

Sounds kinda like it.

He will become the face of their defense and get paid big time in 3 years. Maybe this pathetic team will be worth a dime by then.

Also consider Miami is one of the favorite cities for professional athletes.

Trevor Lawrence to the Giants or Dolphins in next years draft. CW would be thrilled at that stage.

Respectfully, our boy Christian signed a four-year deal worth about $15.5 million, including a $9.5 million signing bonus. Imagine having that money, at 23 years old, living in MIAMI.

There are definitely worse places to be and worse situations to be in.

Re: I wonder what Christian Wilkins is thinking these days

Yep...and at 28 or so he will get a huge contract if he stays healthy. I also think the Dolphins will be really good in 4 years. They have tons of draft picls.

He's a young millionaire living in Miami. I think he'll be ok.

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Probably thinking about what he can do

Sep 17, 2019, 7:28 AM

to change the culture there. CW's a leader - he won't mope about how bad his team is, he'll work on making it better.

I see a young man of his character embracing the challenge. I think Miami drafted him knowing they needed someone with his character and leadership for the rebuild to come. It stinks for him to start his career this way, but they got the right man to lead what will be a young team over the next few years.
