I love having Dabo as our coach, but not only for the wins.

Dabo has earned a lot of credit with me. This means I will gladly be patient with him if we hit a rough patch. Because of what he has done for Clemson football on a holistic level he has earned the benefit of the doubt. He has earned some insulation from our "expectations." He has earned the right to be treated more like family than a CEO. I can only hope that Clemson Family is strong enough for this idea to be in the hearts of a majority of the Clemson faithful.

I like Dabo as a PERSON and a coach. And that person exists apart from the coach. Dabo the person is Clemson family too. If someone tells me "It's a business" I will just respond... "Not to me, it isn't." These last 5 years are worth 5 years of mediocrity, God forbid. Some programs spend 100 years in mediocrity and never have a 5 year stretch like this.

I have faith that Clemson people are just special. I hope that if Clemson football stumbles under Dabo for a few years, we prove it and not commit the sin of hostile impatience. Due to human nature, this kind of sentiment is a lot more popular after a national championship than after a struggling season. So I figure I should get this out now.

"IDIOT POSTER OF THE MONTH SO FAR...GWP-- You have won IPM Award for your failure to completely comprehend a clear post & then choose to attack someone who points out your ignorance. While you are not yet in the same No Class Catagory as deRoberts, ClemTiger117 & Tigerdug23, you are getting closer to the Sewer Dwellers." - coachmac

Now I have to get back to birthing more Clemson scholarship athletes.
