Just to keep the old argument going about.....

whether stars matter or not. Does anyone know offhand how many stars each of the 32 first round picks had coming out of high school? Or am I going to have to look it up my lazy self?

I remember seeing an article about that

a while back. From what I remember, the first round was mostly 4-5 stars. but after that you saw more 2-3 stars get drafted. so in a way, yes stars matter, but only in the first two rounds.

There’s way fewer 4 and 5 stars

and 220+ picks so you’re going to have a bunch of 2-3*’s drafted any way you slice it. The way it shakes out in a large sample size is your chance of getting drafted increases significantly if you’re a blue chip recruit

I know Daniel Jones was a zero star recruit***
