(No, I’m not talking about drinking.) We’ve taken a couple long weekends here and there. But not a lot. Something has snapped over the past couple months. Truth is, I feel like it’s been building up for quite some time. Wife of 7spots called me the other day while I was at work and I kind of snapped at her. She said, “I think you need a vacation.” I almost cried. But I was too dried up from sweating. I’m tired. “Real tired boss.” I need some time off. I guess they don’t make us younger folks as strong as they did the past generations. Wife just paid for a cabin somewhere and I don’t even give a #### where. I’m putting in for a week off. #### all you #############!!! I still love you, though.

Tomorrow I am headed to HHI for a week and it’s usually a good hard reset for the wife and I. Love it this time of year cause it’s not busy, kids are still in school and you can get in and out of restaurants quickly. Only downside is those old farts close most the local bars at 9pm.

Enjoy the week off and hit that reset button.

I haven’t had a drink since Monday and I probably won’t till Monday. That has been a good reset too.

in fact, I can't remember the last time I did. I do take days off and 2-4 days w/a weekend.

We're percolating up a trip out west, maybe Yosemite, that would prolly be at least a week.

I get unwound pretty quick, like by the end of the first day somewheres. And after a few days, I'm good. Also, I like to have at least a day back home before working again. All of this is coming under review as I get older...

although first day was for five year colonoscopy - but no work! First time I have ever taken more than a week since I started work - a very long time ago.

I highly recommend it - a week goes by so fast you really don't get unwound.

Start back on Monday for my final 2 months and that will be here too soon.
