They had a full live orchestra and Roy - the link was exactly how it looked. It was really amazing. Peace Center in Greenville.

When I was in middle school/high school in the late 80’s, all my redneck buddies thought it was weird that I was a big fan of his. Put his last album, mystery girl, in my Walkman and listened to it constantly.

His original house burned down tragically in the late 60's, killing two of his sons, and then he moved next door...Johnny Cash was his neighbor (rat bastid Barry Gibb later burned down Johnny's house). Still a lot of cool stories about Roy floating around town from the old timers. The guy I guy guitar strings from was Roy's luthier and still talks about what a good guy he was.
