Why does Roger Stone flash the Tricky Dikk Nixon pose

Feb 1, 2019, 5:46 PM

every time he emerges from the Courthouse? I think it's great, but I wonder, why does he do that? What purpose does it serve him? Is it helpful to his cause? What message do Republicans think he is sending?

Seems like an odd public relations move on his part.

I figured you'd know this one.

4 fingers, each a Republican tribute.

Finger 1 - Satan
Finger 2 - Putin
Finger 3 - The Klan
Finger 4 - Hitler

I thought everyone knew this.

He wanted to "make one thing perfectly clear"...

"I'm as guilty as my hero Nixon!"

Solid hypothetical question thread***

He loves Nixon of course. He worked for Nixon and has it tat on his back. He is an attention hound. I agree though that it seems like a bad public relations move.

If you've read about him, you'd know he doesn't care

Feb 1, 2019, 6:14 PM

It's just his bombastic personality. I also think Stone only worked as a pretty low-level scheduler on the Nixon campaign, but he definitely idolizes Nixon.

I don't think it's a PR move at all.

Feb 1, 2019, 6:17 PM

I think it's a F**K YOU - S**K MY D**K to all of his detractors. I don't think he gives a damb one way or the other how it affects his cause. Nor do I think it's odd, puzzling, or surprising in the least coming from him.

I agree.

And he's going to enjoy a far more unpleasant fate than Nixon.

It seems we get what we deserve in the end.

Maybe Trump will just pardon him?

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I doubt it. He's saving those for his family.

You can't just hand them out willy nilly. Then it becomes obstruction of justice.

Feb 1, 2019, 6:43 PM

Why would it be obstruction of justice? I am not saying it wouldn't be. Why do you think it would be?

Dangling pardons eliminates the incentive for them to agree

to cooperate with law enforcement and testify truthfully, which is an attempt to influence the testimony of a potential witness.

Feb 1, 2019, 7:20 PM

I agree there, but what happens if he doesn't dangle it out there, but just pardons him later?

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

He's already stated publicly that pardons "are not off the

table." Pretty obvious.

It's pretty weird to be so gay for a corpse.

nixon got him started in politics, he was just a skinny 19 year old sociopath when they first met. The dirt he dug up on George McGovern's VP selection in '72 helped nixon win reelection and set his career path as a political hitman.
