You’re highest coveted icon in the way of Clowney plays for the Texans. You routinely follow and live vicariously through him, all the while your own current program’s only guaranteed and consistent outcome each year is that it will underachieve.

Now a couple of Tigers assume center stage with the Texans, one of whom owned your team throughout his tenure.

They’ve interrupted what was otherwise a fictitious extension of what was/could be, but never will be your program.

And now, as you gently slip down the inescapable slope of bowl ineligibility, you look forward to the holidays, which triggers an abrupt reminder of the relentless beating to take place just after you eat too much of your mascot’s cousin.

Living among chicken fans one observed how they become the fan of whatever team is trendy, especially if they are another SEC or “Sorry Excuse” conference member. Alabama seems to be their team of choice.

I wonder how many will still “support” BAMA Next September when Saban and company beat their beloved GC team? Should get real fun to watch and listen for their ridiculous comments.
