They want to be important, somehow. Unfortunately, most of the time they don't possess the intelligence to be important, so they just try to act important. We've all known people who are like this, only now they have social media as an outlet to feed their narcissism. We've now normalized this idiocy, so it perpetuates itself. Sad state of affairs, and honestly I'm beginning to think we probably do need some sort of apocalypse to cleanse our species.

My old corner bar in Baltimore was going through some tough financial times, so a friend of the owner had his sister try to stir up business by going through this process on Facebook. Truly bizarre. We'd be at the bar at happy hour, and she's all like "Man its a good time at EPH, you guys don't know what you're missing!!"
I look around, she ain't there. There's maybe 10 people in the place. So I guess that was the point, but it seemed stupid to me.

I don’t have instagram or Twitter, or Snapchat. I have buddy book but don’t ever even look at it. All of that is a giant waste of time IMO.
