Four Clemson QBs starting in College Football next year.

Trevor Lawrence here, Hunter Johnson at Northwestern, Kelly Bryant at Missouri, and Zerrick Cooper at Jacksonville State. Not too shabby on the initial recruiting there, aye?
You could actually count Flake Bentley as a fifth one, since we own him.

How cool would it be if the coots happened to play Jacksonville state and Northwestern next year and lost to 4 Clemson QB's in one season (5 counting Chase)?

I wouldn’t pencil Kelly B in as a starter...

not just yet. I’m still not convinced he should have been the starter here in 2017. I think HJ would have outplayed Kelly B if Dabo had given the 1st string offense to him.
I have zero confidence in Kelly B after what I’ve seen from him.

Doesn't justify the 'zero' confidence, for most people. KB's gone now, but he wasn't chopped liver.

I do think HJ should have been given more snaps but agree KB wasn’t chop liver. It’s just unfortunate luck for him he was sandwiched between the former best QB ever in DW and the the future greatest QB ever TLaw.
Pre Deshaun and KB would have been a great one. He’s great, just not generational talent that was around him.

Fair enough

You’re entitled to your opinion, and i’m entitled to mine. I still believe that HJ is a better QB talent based on what I saw in games. I believe HJ would have mustered enough offense to beat Syracuse in 2017 IF he had been the starter and had the team at that point in the season. Again, my opinion/wishful thinking. Peace to you.

I'm of the same opinion, except that I would take it even a step further. "If" Hunter Johnson had been given a shot, I feel that he could have made a difference in the Syracuse game and also would have forced Alabama to play Clemson differently on defense in the Sugar bowl.
This is, of course, my opinion. Kelly Bryant wasn't chopped liver, but he was the sole reason the Clemson offense became so one dimensional. I don't think Alabama could have stacked the box like they did against the run.
We will all get a chance to see just how good HJ is this season. I think that he's going to light it up. He is legit. Just because he isn't Trevor Lawrence, doesn't mean that he can't still be amazing himself.
I think we all will look back a day realize just how much talent was in that QB room in Clemson last spring. Dabo was right when he said that he had 4 QBs that he felt that he could go out and win with. That's a crazy amount of talent.

Maybe the coaches knew they wouldn’t get TL if they played HJ

12-2 says more about those surrounding KB than KB.

The 2015 Bama team that beat us for the Championship had 14-1 Jake Coker as QB. Yeah, that’s right. Jake Who??

Yup.
I think Kelly's September performance was so much better than expected that the first string competition was closed. Dabo emphasizes continual growth. I personally think KB didn't progress much after September.
Nevertheless, Dabo learned not to lock into someone too early, and hopefully KB learned the lesson re. personal growth.
I'd love to see KB thump the Chickens next year.
