Forgive me but I have to brag on my nephew

He is 7 years old , he lost his dad when he was 4 and I have the pleasure of living with him, his mom(my baby sister)and my niece. He is a little fellow and he decided to play coaches pitch baseball this spring, his very first attempt at sports. It has been a joy to watch him learn, grow and get better. Tonight, his team was in the semi-final game against the #1 ranked team. His team was down by 4 runs with 2 outs as he comes up to bat. He stood there and hit a line drive between the 3rd baseman and shortstop and thanks to some fielding difficulties he managed to drive in 2 runs and he had a stand up triple! While they lost in a close one, this young man made his uncle very proud and I am sure his dad is smiling as well! Thanks for indulging my proud uncle post!

Congrats! Hope he can realize his dreams, no matter what they are. He deserves a break, but it seems as though he has a pretty good role model in you. Thanks for your support of him, on the field and off.

I have a four year old playing his second season of wee-ball. He has made tremedous strides and does not hit off of a tee any more. I'm pitching the ball and he is making decent contact for his age. BTW...nothing wrong to be proud of your nephew.
