to bad I don't live in Atlanta... Flights are insane to go to either Vegas or Phoenix out of Raleigh.

We had to fly atl to vegas for the natty. 4 hour drive to az. But not a bad drive at all just a bunch of nothing for 4 hours.

I won't be flying, but check out this one-way flight by Southwest Airlines from Atlanta to Phoenix on Dec. 30 departing at 5:00pm and arriving at 8:50pm for $286. Two free bags plus carry-on are included! Might be interesting for some.

Flights are ridiculously cheap, you can bet on your tigers at the sports book, and drive through some really unique landscape for about 4 hours until you get to PHX. We did it last year, and that is a really good formula.

ATL has the cheap flights. Both Spirit and Frontier are less

than $150 round trip. The plane is terrible and the clientele is even worse, but it'll get you out there. I would not recommend taking the red eye back to ATL... huge mistake. We left Vegas at 1:30 and didn't land in Atlanta until 7:45 a.m. it was awful. Didn't sleep a wink.
