Feaster’s logic in picking USux. Help me out here. First

Jul 29, 2019, 6:07 PM

of all, I admit that I hate his decision and I am trying to understand his logic.

Between Va Tech and USux, he knows that he is not going to be playing for any championships.

Why he should have gone to Va Tech:

Much easier schedule.
I think he would have immediately become the starter.
Would have definitely had more carries and better stats.

Why not Va Tech:

Further away.
Program appears to be unstable at the moment.

Why USux:

At this stage their program is more settled/established than Va Tech.
Probably more press exposure.
Decent QB and receivers.

Why not USux:

Tough schedule
Not assured of a starting position
Lesser stats
Not a great OL (which is vital to a straight running RB

Again. Try to look from the outside and tell me what you thought his logic was. Please no wise a**s replies.

Thanks

It seems to have stopped the incessant Finebaum posts.

From what I'm hearing playing close to home so his family could go to all the games was a big consideration. I also think if he somehow puts up a 1000 yard season against SEC competition he will definitely pop up on the NFL radar which is his primary motivation. I consider this similar to the Kelly Bryant mentality as far as the NFL goes. They only have one year to make an impression and I guess they feel these were the two best options for them given the others offers they had.

I won't pull against him per se, except for the last game of the regular season, but I can't bring myself to pull for him either. That comment he made about it "being personal" just kind of rubbed me the wrong way. I don't think he owes us anything. He did his best for 3 years, he graduated and he stayed out of trouble so the slate is clean from that perspective. I just didn't like the cloud he tried to create as he walked out the door. And of course, asking for Spiller's number and then not living up to it is another matter as well.

Talking to a friend last week who was a HS football coach

Jul 29, 2019, 6:40 PM

and played for the coots. He goes to all the coot home games and some road games. He asked me if I had any idea where Feaster was going (coots or VT). I said I had no idea. Then he said if he wants lots of yardage why would he go to Columbia since their OL is not very good. He tells it like it is. Personally I hope Feaster rushes for 1,000 yds and gets drafted, but also hope the coot team loses all 12 and the bowl game too.

Per my inside sources which is no one, he wants to be the best player on the team and can’t take competition. UofSC was by far the safest bet after Feaster watched bowl season.
