SOME people just do that kind of stuff for attention. Others are sincere. But either way, some things just need to be kept among the family and close friends. No need to broadcast your problems to the world because other than close friends and family, maybe your church, etc. no one really cares or is going to do anything beyond lip-service.
On the flip side, telling the world can be like a PSA and actually help expose a problem that would be otherwise unknown.
