FSU last night was an abomination

They were not just bad they were like a IAA Team playin against a good IA team. The coaching was pathetic. No heart and no desire. Sounds crazy but I’d be surprised if they win 3 games

FSU danced before the game.
VT danced after.
One game is one game, but whew, the Noles have a LONG way to go to even be mediocre.

True. You can tell they have athletes, but not a team.

They looked small, too--especially on defense. They just didn't even pass the eye test.

With Jimbo's departure, the last remnants of Bowden football DNA have been flushed from FSU. Jimbo was able to maintain the tough, flashy FSU identity that Bowden built which we all became used to seeing.
Willie is at the helm of a new program entirely. There is no more Bobby Bowden influence, or protege in the program anymore. Despite some people claiming that Jimbo tried to purge FSU of the Bowden legacy, its the biggest thing that fueled Jimbo's success, and it was a wave of momentum that had one last big splash as it was receding (2013 title).
You know that fun fact about how the human body apparently replaces all of the cells in your body every 10 years, so that at some point you are an entirely different person (biologically) from who you were 10 years prior?
Kinda the same thing happening with FSU.
Thats probably why Willie is desperately trying to get Bobby Bowden to come back to visit the program as much as possible. That, and such antics also make it seem like Willie knows he has bitten off more than he can chew. Gives me the impression Willie doesnt know what he is doing and needs Bowden to run his program for him.

They were pretty much an abomination last year, too . But they look like a big mess last night.
The sideline chick made a comment that Coach Willie had said back in April that his team seemed like they were "fractured " . He was going to make them eat all their meals together .

FSU really needs at least a year (maybe 2) under Taggart to establish a foundation. They wont win squat this year because he inherited a broken program. Time will tell.

All offseason you heard how FSU “wasn’t an a rebuilding job” because they have so much talent. Now the narrative they’re pushing is it was a “broken program” and Taggart needs time. That doesn’t excuse a team looking unprepared and making no adjustments when what you were doing wasn’t working.

They ran a national championship winning coach off and their coaching search was a joke. They deserve to become irrelevant for the next few years.
