Espn article.

Apr 17, 2019, 7:36 PM

“To put the Tigers' schedule into perspective: Their most difficult game, per FPI, is at South Carolina on Nov. 30. Alabama also plays at South Carolina, but that game is the Crimson Tide's fifth-most difficult game”

So, at best, A&M would be our 2nd hardest game. So look at Bama’s schedule and somebody tell me how Playing AT A&M for Bama could possibly be the 6th hardest game on their schedule. Unbelievable!

ESPN thinking a 3 win U5C is going to be our hardest game is enough evidence that they've never watched football in their life. They need to fire everyone if they really think that.

Four things ESPN is noted for: 1. Total foaming at the mouth for anything Tiger Woods does 2. Total exaggeration for anything associated with the SEC 3. Responsible for who wins the Heisman every year because of their constant propaganda and 4. Use of race on who gets fired and who gets promoted. Say what you want but it is what it is.

This is just done using the FPI rankings

Apr 17, 2019, 8:32 PM

The same FPI that has Clemson preseason #1 in the country.

The SEC is very good right now.
The ACC is pretty darn bad right now.
Clemson is very, very good right now.

All of these things are true.

@tTigersAndCubs I disagree the SEC is all that good right now. 6-5 in bowl season! Again, just the top of the conference doesn't make the whole thing good. Bowl season. And how Bamer rolled through the SEC - should have meant in a tough conference when they played a good team from a "supposedly weak" conference - the iron that sharpened the bamer iron should have made it impossible for CU to win! That's what the OP is talking about: "how good the SEC is is very much overblown"!
They do this basically b/c of the recruiting wins the SEC has! Texas 1st year through 5 year sr class was no where in the same atmosphere as Georgia! But, Texas smacked that butt!
Their logic is flawed!

So, the ACC had a bad year! But, 7 - 5 last year. 9-3 for the ACC in 2016 bowl season. Does not in my opinion corroborate the narrative the ACC is all that weak! It's not top heavy - but the teams aren't as bad as people make it out to be and the numbers back that up!

Re: This is just done using the FPI rankings

Also, as has been stated, you know a poll that claims U of Suck is our hardest game is "invalid"!

They lost by 21 when their QB had a career day/ b/c we were probably looking ahead to the ACCCG. And, the playoffs! And they still got smoked.

Syracuse on paper has a higher rated QB that will be starting( new starter was higher ranked than Dungey coming out of H.S.). Cuse also beat CU the last time we visited the Carrier dome. How in Hades do they not get the nod?
Texas A&M has recruits ranked just as high as our players! And, are coached by a coach that has A. Won a title. B. is very familiar with CU.
Can't forget about Nan-C-St as I believe we go back to "C. Finley this year"!

FSU had Kendall Briles and their 5 wide vertical offensive philosophy! And, the biggest thing you need for their philosophy to be a success: Speed! They too have recruited on par with the Tigers!

**In short - that's the craziest thing I will read all "weak"!

Take a look though at the teams the ACC played during bowl season though. Also, Pitt went 1-4 OOC including 2 losses by more than 30, and they were good enough to play for the ACC Championship. The ACC earned its poor reputation last season, and winning bowl games such as Wake beating Memphis or Duke beating Temple doesn’t do much to change that. None of that changes that Clemson was and is the best team in college football.

To your points...

SEC isn't as great as Espin thinks

ACC isn't as weak as Espin thinks

Clemson is better than anyone in the ACC AND SEC

Beyond me how anyone thinks SC will be Clemson's toughest game. The Tiger's let SC stay way too close for too long last year. That won't happen again this year. 2019 will look a lot like the 2016 game.

Nope, but the home vs road swing is worth about

Apr 17, 2019, 8:34 PM [ in reply to nobody with a brain thinks UofSucK is better than A&M*** ]

a TD on projections and betting lines which makes A&M and SC much more equal. If you were to flip it and make it at A&M and SC at home (like last year), it wouldn't even be close.

Clemson could play A&M on the moon and the Aggies would play a better game than SC.

Aren't they on the wrong side of a fiver with A&M as it

is? And Jimbo will own WM in the gameday aspect for seasons to come. Not even close here.

Idiotic..they didn't read their own stats...

Apr 17, 2019, 9:42 PM

which have Texas A+M ranked ahead of South Carolina by three places. Then they assume that the Coots who were blown out by the number 6 team in the ACC, Virginia, who lost to THREE TEAMS on Clemson's schedule, are better than whoever Clemson is probably going to play in the ACC Championship??? Stupid chit here.

It’s about where the games are being played. We have A&M at home.

It does not matter what anybody thinks right now about who has the hardest schedule. Teams have to play football. Also idc if we have a weak schedule anyways. We go 12-1 or 13-0 we will be in the playoffs.
