Took me four full years. But Murphy is enrolling in January and if he takes summer courses too, he could certainly have his degree and enter the draft after his third year of playing eligibility if he so chooses.

Yeah, he could make this happen if he's as........

focused as he's saying he is. I sure admire him for giving it a shot.

Either he is a genius or I Am dumb

Studied like crazy to pass in computer engineering.
I could not see myself being able to balance engineering and being a professional athlete at Clemson.
I hope he is much smarter than I am.

Football players get tudors, advisors, and coaches to make sure they stay focused and have the tools to succeed

There are required labs pretty much every semester that are only offered in the evening, so unless they let him skip football activities or offer special labs, it isn't practical.

The classes build on each other, so you can't normally only take those classes in the fall and expect to graduate in 4 years.

some have to study a lot more than others

May 18, 2019, 3:44 PM [ in reply to Either he is a genius or I Am dumb ]

I never studied anywhere near what others did until grad school. In grad school I was average. But undergrad wasn't a whole lot harder than high school. I didn't like study groups because I just ended up tutoring.

That said, it still takes a lot of time. A 3 hour lab is still 3 hours and it takes a couple hours minimum to do the report no matter how easy it is, all for a 1 hour credit. Same with homework for classes. It still takes hours each week.

You still get to take econ psychology English etc that don't take much time outside the classroom at all. 12 hours per semester and 6 hours in summer and you can finish in 4 years.

I’m sure it can be done but it will be incredibly difficult. I think Tre Lamar started in engineering but switched to another major pretty quickly. I couldn’t imagine being able to balance it all.

He’ll do it in three. Or what amounts to three and a half. Smart kid- way smarter than I!!!!

He’ll have a degree and a huge payday at the end of the three years. Can’t see he or Bresee coming back. Think they’ll definitely get first round grades when that time comes.
