Getting a little frustrated...

May 13, 2019, 10:39 AM

Just got the set of Clemson car magnets I ordered for my new F150 in the mail Saturday, AND THEY DON’T WORK! This is the 5th set I’ve ordered, and they have all been defective. I have even ordered from different manufacturers, but same result. Is anyone else having this problem? I’ve called customer service and they said the magnets work fine, they even tested the last set before they mailed them. Is it possible the post office’s scanning equipment demagnetizes them? I’m considering getting a lawyer involved.

I suggest a new board for Tnet. Maybe we could name it, "QUESTIONS FOR TNET EXPERTS", and then we would have no need for Google.

Re: Getting a little frustrated...

May 13, 2019, 1:26 PM

Contact the manufacturer of the Magnets and ensure they send you aluminum magnets. they work real good and they don't curl up of fade like the metal magnets do. They do costs about 25% more to make up for the tariffs that were placed on them.

military_donation.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: Getting a little frustrated...

May 13, 2019, 2:35 PM

The magnetic flux density on those things is pretty low, so I suspect the paint on the car is too thick. Here's what you do: hold the magnet on the truck and trace an outline. Then get a steel brush attachment on your drill and remove the paint where the magnet goes. If that doesn't work, don't worry, it won't rust because the truck body is made of aluminum. You can thank me later.
