My oldest Boxer is named Hunley after the sub, I was part of the dive team that searched for her, 2 others one named "Bear", but its for the USCG Academy Bears, my husband is an alum, and the other Marine dad was a Marine and she was born on the USMC b day. they are all boxers, Tommy Bowden had boxers as a pet, I remember his wife gave him another one one year for a present and he said everyone needed another friend so he had 2 boxers.

Yes, Boxers are awesome good dogs! My girlfriend and I had a dog (it was actually her dog...) named, "Huckleberry Finn". He was a Border Collie-Australian Shephard mix, and the most intelligent animal (humans included) I have ever known and had the privilege of associating with. He saved my life one time as I was suffering a low-blood-sugar one night (type-1 diabetic) and he came to the side of my bed and whined until I woke up and realized what was happening - and he wasn't even trained to do this. He had to be put down six years ago, and I still miss him like a best friend, a brother, and all that stuff.... and I'm happy to believe, "All Dogs go to Heaven".

I am glad you had good boxers, when I was coming up I had a 1st cousin who had two of them. They were the meanest most vicious creatures I have ever seen. Every time a stranger came around they went crazy, they charged the wire on their pens and there is no doubt they would have done serious harm to me if they had been able to escape.

I have two boxers and they are the best dogs ever. They don’t do well alone, giving them a companion keeps them occupied and out of a lot of trouble.

Sir Charles Tucker after my best friend growing up. Tucker was a great lab that we had for 14 years. He went to the big duck blind in the sky.

Our neighbors dog is Mrs. Johnson. Someone named her that at the shelter, and she was there so long she learned it. Amazing, even after abuse and languishing in a shelter she is a sweet hart.

After the Orange Bowl against OSU, I told the wife that we needed another kid so I could name it Sammy. Since we were in our late 40s at the time, and since she isn't a football fan, we opted for a dog. We get females, so we got Samantha, aka Sammie, from a rescue. The absolutely greatest dog in the multiverse in my opinion.
