Cool “goofball” question on Packman

Jun 13, 2019, 7:34 PM

Among current college coaches (all sports), which would you be most excited to learn was the professor for one of your classes (i.e. could teach you the most), and which would you be most mortified to have (that dude/chick couldn’t teach you anything)?

I would say Mike Leach for entertainment value, and he is probably smart, though goofy.
Worst would be Lane Kiffin, with honorable mention to Coach K for his NPR voice.

Among Clemson coaches, I would sort them as follows (and sticking to just the dudes):
Want - Brownell, Elliott, Swinney, Scott, Caldwell
Don’t want - Venables, Lee, Penley, “Get Back” guy

Penley is the greatest guy ever to have a conversation with

dude is hilarious and he has 1000 stories to tell. But they are all about hunting and fishing. ;)

He'd be an awesome Outdoor Rec type teacher.

I know Larry very well, too well to have as a professor

My brother played on his first team at Clemson, and I have his cell phone number. Stayed with him and Packman in their apartment about 35 years ago.

Agree with everything you said, but it would be like having my cousin for a teacher.

I think my wife, Morgan Fairchild, would make a great professor. She's the greatest.
