This adds value. I wish the other 99% posted this kind of information. TU for you.

It is interesting to see how many are road games...

Sep 24, 2018, 11:26 AM

It seems like the ACC has taken it on the chin by going on the road...

With the exception of the neutral field losses by Louisville & Miami, only Pitt losing at home to Penn State and Wake losing to ND were home losses.

Every other game was on the road...Duke had wins at Northwestern and Baylor. We won at A&M. Unc loses at Cal and ECU, UVA at Indiana, BC at Purdue, GT at USF, VT at ODU, etc. Even Cuse traveled to Western Michigan for a win.

Seems like the SEC plays more ‘neutral’ site matchups. Not sure about other conferences.

Although the ACC has not looked good thus far, does playing so many non-conference road games (compared to others) have something to do with it?

The SEC really does pad their records very subtlety

Sep 24, 2018, 2:48 PM

They have 4 non conference games rather than 3 and usually use 3 of those 4 as FCS/Sun Belt punching bag games. Many of their games against other power 5 schools are in favorable neutral site locations.

Meanwhile teams from PAC 12, Big Ten and Big 12 only have 3 non conference games and actually do play games vs other power 5 as well. In some cases like USC, Texas, Purdue, Ohio state, they use 2 of them as power 5 games.

ACC is so low we can only look better as the season wears on...
