With all the excuse makers for Alabama still whining

Jul 13, 2019, 5:52 PM

Has anyone ever heard (for or against) the Tigers that they would have won a 3rd Natty over Alabama if it hadn't been for "two screwed up Special Teams plays"??? The onside kick & kickoff return were inexcusable mistakes that cost Clemson a solid win over 'Bama in the 2016 title game.

Inexcusable? Not good plays...at all?

That's quite Tide-ish, you know?

Special team mistakes like wide right against NCST?

Some believe the universe is an ever, and that's a very long time, expansive & still expanding ball.

The ones, who in the four years since they’ve been hired, have won 4 consecutive against SCofU, 4 ACC championships, made the playoffs 4 consecutive years, made the National Championship game 3 times, and won 2 National Championships.

Guess he’s moved on to special teams.

I has the confused. I don’t think our special teems made a mistake on that play.

Purty sure we wanted them to miss that field goal.

2 Deadly ST Plays Killed Us Due To 1 or 2 Players NOT

postioned in their lanes of containment.

That's football and Saban & Team took advantage of it, and thus won..fairly.

Oh, Having Mac go down didn't help since Tide TE owned the middle after that, it seemed!

Suspensions of Lakip, Caine and another (?) certainly hurt. Maybe Lakip kicks it into the end zone and Drake does not return it for a td.

Saban stated as much in his post game presser that he felt their defense could not stop DW and he needed to do something to change the momentum. They had just scored a go ahead touchdown but were struggling to maintain a grip on that game. Until that on-sides kick, the home stretch of that game was looking favorable for us.

I really believe the on-sides kick was both genius and incredibly lucky that they fielded it. If not for that play, I think we probably beat them that year. But then again, the next year might not go down the way it does either.....

Much like the near loss to NC State. If we lose that game, there’s just no way we’re not laser focused and don’t run Pitt right out of the valley the next week.

It was a perfectly executed, "text book" on-side kick. It's in high-lite reels of both CFB and NFL "how to" training videos... credit Saban, his coordinators, or just plain luck that it worked, but that's what won the game. "JMHO", or whatever....

Go Tigers!!!
