If you take away those two bogus PI calls...first the Amari Rogers TD with offensive pass interference, then the late defensive phantom inteferance that gave them new life on that drive that ended in a TD.

I had that same exact thought as I was driving up the mountains on my way home. Neither call was even close to being correct. This game should have been a 32 point blowout as I predicted . Or worse.

After watching replay of the game, those calls simply should never have been made against us. That junk was not there. It's rare that announcers come down hard on refs on their calls - but last night - words like "bad call" & "I just don't see it" were coming from their mouths. At a minimum, the score was 63-35, if not worse.

Our defense, especially the secondary, played their worst game of the year by far. In the past, such an off night would have resulted in a loss. Unlike the past, we have enough skill across the board to win even when one part of the team is having a very bad night. As far as those who think that the poor showing means we are doomed to lose in the playoffs, consider this. Alabama was tied 10-10 at halftime last week against the Citadel. Every single team has games, or part of games, when they look horrible...even Alabama. Entering this weekend, everyone was talking about how dominant the Michigan defense has been, and Ohio State scored 62 points in their game against them. It is a testament to how talented Clemson is, that the secondary could have such a terrible game, and the Tigers still win by 21 points.
