Chewy.com hittin' them feels....

It’s the moment that every dog owner dreads: The end. And in October of last year, Joseph Inabnet put down his dog, Bailey. In the aftermath, Inabnet needed to take care of something: He got his dog food for Bailey from a service called Chewy that delivered food to his house, and he had a brand new bag to deal with.

He asked Chewy if he could return the food for a refund, but they did one better: They refunded him without a return, and encouraged him to donate the food.
Now, that’s phenomenal customer service in the wake of a tragedy already, lord knows companies can be pretty cold about things like this.
But Chewy wasn’t done, because in May, something arrived at Inabnet’s home.

And honestly, it’s a really pretty painting, based on a picture of Bailey.

And the card is as kind as you’d imagine.

Unsurprisingly, people have reacted with a lot of support for Joseph’s loss and Chewy’s above and beyond response, with Chewy themselves getting one last say in the matter.

So, here’s to Bailey, a precious part of Joseph Inabnet’s life, that’s been memorialized in a truly special way by people who just wanted to honor a dog they’d never even met.

others that just route you to some schmoe in the Phillipines with no authority to make a decision and who can only read from a ######.

Not many companies understand customer service this well. LL Bean and Lands End come close.

I bought a $15 dog door for Scooter's dog house

They sent us flowers and a hand written note when our Beagle
