Seriously, why would a kid in 2019 choose SCAR?

To get his head beat in by the best? Most kids want to win something.
And it won’t be getting better anytime soon. Clemson, Bama, Georgia have staying power, and several teams in their own division are passing then my. Honestly, what is there for Chump to sell?

Honestly do we have any real head to head battles with them anymore?

We are on a completely different level than them and look to remain there for quite sometime.

Well...every situation is a little different.

Zach Pickens was afraid of competition and his mother so he allowed her to make his decision for him. The little signing bonus she received for doing so didn't hurt either.
In order to get Hilinski they had to promise his brother a full ride to their medical school and agree to relocate the family to the east coast (including a house and jobs).
Again...every situation is different but at the end of the day, some people want to be the windshield others are destined to be the bug.

Some of them want to be THE guy not one of several guys. Some coaches just connect better with certain players better than other coaches do as well.

He likes chicken! He likes the color garnet! He likes big city living! He likes horses! (look at all those Equestrian trophies they have) He likes"cycling"( as "in"), but not ("All-In"). These aren't serious responses, but I couldn't think of anything serious.

Maybe the actual school is a better fit for them

Maybe they would prefer going to school in an urban setting than a rural setting Maybe they bonded better with one of the coaches Maybe they liked a particular major Maybe they have family connections there
I know it's difficult to see when we're as biased as we are, but Clemson is not for everyone. Neither is Dabo. And kids have many different reasons for picking what college they want to attend.

If we were to fill up...and the coots are your only other option.
It might be worth taking an "off year" and being an early 2021 commitment for us.

They're the last open door ? The recruit thought it was Southern Cal . There wasn't enough time to read the fine print before signing day ended . Will Muschamp staring angrily at them and standing in front of the door . Their parent(s) went to UofSuC and they feel regretfully obligated . Newspring called .... the check didn't clear .

No doubt I'd pick Clemson if I were in that position right now, and no doubt that Clemson is the better option for several reasons right now. However, we had several highly ranked recruits take a chance on us while we were trying to make our way up, and we wouldn't be where we are right now had they not done so.
