It’s real simple. He was afraid of competing for his playing time. Tennessee has not won a Championship in 20 years. That means half of the current Vols team wasn’t born the last time the Vols were Champions. If you want to put 4 Vols Championships together you have to go back 30 years and add them up over a 10 year period. Never in Vols history have they gone back to back to back to back with Championships. The Vols do have history, but the best of it was prior to 1940 (fact, look it up). Best of luck to him, he’ll play immediately for that 5-7 Vols team, which is exactly what he was looking for and exactly what Dabo would not promise him.

Also Croutch is injury prone. The less he has to compete the less likely he is to get injured.
Also, Clemson plays 15 games a year and Tennessee 12. Over 4 years that’s 12 games. “That’s why we Work!”

was one of these guys who always travels with an entourage, including his " handler". Our coaches would never admit this publicly , but the word is that Clemson backed off from this crew. It was turning into trouble and Dabo doesn't like trouble.

How many coaches make promises they know they will never keep. Dabo does it right, tells kids the truth. If that loses a few recruits, then so be it.

Agree with you 100%. It’s amazinf how the media takes liberties with the truth and with the actual facts. They have no one to call them out except fans like you and fans are usually ignored.
