Bama and Saban never used a single time-out the entire game

Wonder what he was saving them for. I would have suggested that he take them to coach up his team or maybe come up with a better plan instead of taking a knee or having his kicker block our D-line.

They used one on defense right after Ross’s one handed catch didn’t they?

No the replay buzzed down to review the play so Bama was not charged a TO there. The TV people did show Bama having used one after that but it was corrected a few minutes later

For the ones of us who have found themselves behind a wood shed will tell you that we never wanted anything to prolong the time any longer than what was needed
Bama Coaches and players more than likely wanted to get on the bus at 1/2 time
Take the time and try to find HC NS interviews during the days before the game The look on his face the words he spoke in the way he did told me he was aware that not only could they get beat but very could be the outcome the nation witnessed

50 timeouts wouldn't have change the game.
They wanted to get off of national tv as fast as possible.
Timeouts are usually to help your defense. It's not like we were having long drawn out drives. You can't call a timeout in the middle of a 50 yard pass for a TD.

Lil Nicky was uncharacteristicly calm and aloof in this game. Maybe he was betting on Clemson.

But I do believe that Nick knew we were the better team before the game. He also knows very clearly that the whole SEC meat grinder hype is a joke. The reality is that this season LSU and UGA were VASTLY overrated. All season they were overrated. Miss State sucks. Florida SUCKS. And bama, sitting at the top of all that media hype, really wasn’t much better than the Notre Dame team we took to the woodshed the previous week. If this season proved anything, it proved that the SEC hype wagon is a big steaming pile of horse shyatt.

Feel you have a chance...or momentum...or sniff out a trick play/fake kick...or have the lead and are making a goal line stand...
I don't recall many opportunities that called for a TO.

Yeah, that's pretty impressive for a conference that only goes 12-10 against the other Power 5s.
Their real strength is in their scheduling.
They went 14-0 against FCS teams and 27-2 against Group of 5s that had a collective .460 win pctg. Imagine proclaiming your worthiness of an at-large CFP spot when your best OOC foe is a 7-6 Ga Tech or a 7-6 Miami or an 8-6 Mid Ten St.
Big brass ballz.

Saban ranked us #1 in the coaches poll towards the end of the season. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2018_NCAA_Division_I_FBS_football_rankings#Coaches'_Poll

It’s because he knew what was coming. He even said before the game that the key is how they stop out receivers and TL. Once we hit Tee deep early on saban already knew what time it was lol

Don’t mean to be disagreeable but Alabama took one with about a minute or minute and a half left in third qtr. They were on defense and couldn’t stop Clemson

Time outs only helps PHYSICAL FATIGUE! With mental fatigue it doesn't help having coaches tell them they are getting their butts beat!
