For what it’s worth, Anna Hickey is saying that his reclassification is “far from a done deal.”

He is Miami but decommitting from Miami??????? Is this like, "I love you but we are getting a divorce?"

That is to funny! What exactly does reclassify mean?

I meant too funny. I am a grammar nerd....

That's just spelling.***

Means he thinks he is able to graduate earlier and come in with a 2020 class.

He likes his hometown of Miami.

So since he is Miami and is probably going elsewhere, do you think the University of Miami will have to change their name? Maybe they should consider using the name of someone that previously went there instead of a future prospect this time so this doesn't happen again.

Asking people to "respect my decision" is out of touch.

Jun 13, 2019, 4:07 PM

I don't understand why people are asking for that these days. It's like when people ask for some space as a result of a tragedy. (which is obviously fine and good but very different than a decommitment) Why do young people think they can just ask people to respect a de-commitment as if people owe it to him to do so. It's just random.

Re: Asking people to "respect my decision" is out of touch.

Jun 13, 2019, 4:11 PM

Because of the insane "fans" that insult the kids and their families over their choice of college.

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Asking people to respect the decision isn't the way to go then.

Jun 13, 2019, 6:50 PM

Maybe asking people to try and be understanding. But asking people to respect the decision comes off as arrogant. People should take committing seriously. He should respect his own decision first. Worry about the crazy internet people second.

badge-donor-10yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

He’s going to get hounded in Miami. There will be no respect

Jun 13, 2019, 8:10 PM

For his decision.

So.. you want to win a natty huh?
