Personally I prefer the NIT over the NCAA's

The games are at home so that is a win for the fans, but the games are also a lot less stressful to watch on TV. I mean the competition is not as good, so there is that, but I also do not care all that much because it is the NIT, and getting into the sweet 16 in that tournament is not all that impressive of a thing to pull off anyway so there is that too also.
So I hope we get in this year, the NIT, so that we as fans can have a much more casual post season watching experience and not get all too upset when/ if we lose.

The CBI is where it's at. Not only is it less pressure than the NIT, but schools have to pay to be in it. That way, we can increase our basketball spending and maybe compete for having the 13th highest basketball budget in the ACC, rather than being relegated to 14th where we currently are.

I remember how in the 60s the NIT WAS the better........

tournament because only a handful of conference champions got to go to the NCAA tournament. PLENTY of top teams/programs had to go on to the NIT which made it a bigger tournament.
But once the NCAA started to expand the Big Dance field that killed the NIT.

Evidently you don't remember the upset/stress expressed on Tigernet after the 2017 NIT debacle!
