There’s a long article on it and he gets dyed every 8 weeks under the close supervision of 3 veterinarians using a PETA approved product. The vets say he is good until 10 or 11 (7 now) years old before he has to stop. Who knew there were PETA approved dye products?

I would've assumed they'd be against altering its appearance in such a way. Maybe I just think it's cruel because if you even put a shirt on my dog he gets this really sad look on his face like he's on one of those commercials trying to raise money for mistreated animals. I'm glad it's safe at least.
