Make Notre Dame have to join, or get out, and then add West Virginia!

That simple right? No offense, but anyone who says that doesn’t understand the money we get from them in our tv contract for the deal we have in place for the other sports and the ACC games they play that ESPN is able to pick up. It’s not like we have this deal with ND just out of the goodness of our hearts.

Don't you think there would be more money from a full member (like WVU) than what we get from ND?

Probably not, but even so, it’s not like our deal with ND is what’s keeping WV or anyone else out.

SEC would pick up both Kansas teams or K-State & Louisville. The PAC-12 would get the remaining Texas teams (TCU / Baylor / Texas Tech) plus Iowa State. The Big-12 would cease to exist. That leaves 4 Power conferences with 16 teams each.

Then we'd have another coot-like fanbase to put up with. NCStank, coots and then WVU. Is fun going to games up there though.

Umass wouldn't make sense in terms of increasing TV revenue since we already have a geographic footprint in Massachusetts. We should add a team that gives us another lucrative TV market to help increase revenue for all ACC teams.

They can realign the SEC any way you like, coots will still be a nobody. At the end of the day you have to beat the best SEC teams. coots have never done that and show no evidence that they ever will. Yap, yap, yap, sqwuak, sqwuak, sqwuak. blah, blah, blah... .......here’s to another 127 years of diddley squat coot football. coots, changing the world one loss at a time.

There is an International Women’s Football League that the coots could realign with, seeing as how they are a women’s sports school. Seems appropriate.

This is odd. ACC needs to contact and lose Pitt, Syracuse, Louisville and BC. Stick with 10 teams. That would be perfect.
Texas likes having in-state rivals like TCU, Baylor, and Texas Tech, plus OU and Ok State just one state above them. Getting to play Purdue and Rutgers instead of schools in Texas would be bad for college football, and bad for Texas.
And one day within the decade I’ll buy my games à la carte, and not have to worry about paying for a channel in a bundled package. I’m never paying to stream Texas vs. Rutgers.
SEC should discard Mizzou and Scar and go to 12.

The end of conference divisions? Yes please!
Dec 7, 2018, 4:56 PM

I'm digging this nugget:
"In terms of alignment, the Big Ten, along with the ACC, will push for reform that would allow for one big conference, no divisions, and the ability to eliminate round-robin play, the source told Flugaur. Currently, as is the case with the Big 12, conferences with only one division have to play round-robin schedules, and while Big Ten Commissioner Jim Delaney and the rest of league brass publicly support divisions, Flugaur indicates that’s not the case behind closed doors. The opposite would actually allow for an increase in value to television and media and an easier expanding value."

There's been rumors about the BigTen wanting to add OU and Texas for a few years now, but the Longhorn network has always stood in the way.

Texas would never leave the big 12... they are the highest paid team in their conference with (network deals and tv markets) . They are one of the highest revenue teams in the country. more stupidity being spewed.

They have to add Oklahoma State as well. Oklahoma legislation will not let one join without the other.
