i do think its important but not an absolute necessity....

it really depends on what other teams do down the stretch in conference tourney action. In order to "control our own destiny" we need to beat state.

Also, i cant figure out why us and nc state are constantly mentioned on the bubble while 'cuse is considered comfortably in.

By record, there's not a tremendous difference but Syracuse does have three Quadrant 1 wins - one being at Duke and another by 20 points over Louisville - and a No. 9 strength of schedule.
