3 minutes? Really?

Oct 25, 2012, 7:01 PM

Discipline is one thing. Being absolutely ridiculous with discipline is another. I could see if it were a common theme but have no idea if it's been a problem.

If it is just one time that's pretty ridiculous.

Ongoing, yes. One off, ridiculous.***

not starting a game is not a big deal

if he's out for the whole first quarter, that would be a big deal. My guess is he's probably on a little bit of a probation since his arrest, so this punishment may be a bit harsher than it would've been otherwise.

Yep. A little overboard on this discipline bit.***

Well...

I think Sammy would have gotten no punishment if it weren't for that arrest in the offseason.

It is no big deal, but I think it shows recruits' parents that star players don't get treated any different here in Clemson.

Apparently coach is serious about "all in" ***

winning football is all about discipline !
Get off the ball a second late and you are out of position the entire play
forget and run the route eh no big deal try harder next time
no disciplined enough to keep your eye on the ball...dropped ! eh no big deal

if a meeting starts at 7am be there at 6:55am

I approve of this. Remember Holtz's last years at USC when morale problems destroyed his teams because of special treatment given to Summers? Remember his players talking about meetings starting at two times, "rest of team time" and "Demetrius time" which started 15 minutes later?

When you break a rule in football there is a penalty.

Oct 25, 2012, 7:23 PM

What is the difference here? I applaud Dabo. Break the rule, pay the price.

Geez people. It's not like he suspended him from an entire game or something. He isn't starting, that is all.
