#1 Takeaway from today's game

Sep 15, 2018, 3:13 PM

... is that Clemson has incredible offensive star power, and at this point in the season, Dabo is more focused on getting everyone reps than letting his stars shine.

When given their reps and opportunities, these stars are ETN, Tee Higgins, Amari Rodgers, Justyn Ross, Hunter Renfrow, and Trevor Lawrence (and I hope to see him get many more reps to be ready for the playoffs). And Lynn J-Dixon and Derion Kendrick are coming on. There are plenty of others who can make plays, but are not at the same talent level as these stars.

When the coaches focus on getting the ball to these stars and get out of their way, this team can compete with Bama and anyone else at the top. And IMHO these players will need repetitions with all the stars on the field to build timing and be ready. Still Dabo is resting his star players for conference play, and it will be interesting to see his team strategy vs. Ga Tech.

Yet, Bama will be there in the end. I agree 100% with what you're saying. And it will pay dividends.

But, Saban's system works.

Screw Calford.

Logical Thought

the game... and there is this thing called a tropical depression that is causing significant wind. I mean, maybe we should have put our hurricane kicker in.

was there much wind in Clemson? His missed FGs went

straight --- They missed, but went straight.

With Trevor at QB, we can definitely open up the offense.

Sep 15, 2018, 3:31 PM

It will not be long before Dabo understands that.

LOL! Nevermind... you are just trolling.

Carry on.

Yeah, I agree

But what is frustrating is watching it play out as it appears disorganized at times. The coaching staff is awesome though so I'm assuming they have some master plan.

Since we are talking offensive skill players

Do not leave out Galloway. Our offense has missed the threat that Jordan presented, as much as we missed a true 9 man most of last season. I have not watched for his blocking, but his presence in the passing game has been obvious from day 1.
