Mickey,

When does spring practice start? When is the spring game? Are any of the practices open to the public? Thank you. Love the show!

Wendy

Wendy,

Thanks for the kind words.

Clemson will start spring practice on Feb. 28. The spring game is on April 14. Unfortunately, practices are not open to the public.

Mickey,

It is really sad that Brad lost 2 starters at the end of our season. I felt we had a solid, consistent team poised to make some noise in the ACC tournament and in the NCAA tournament. I really feel sorry for Brad as this could have been a great season for us. We'll see what happens down the stretch and maybe we'll start playing well before it's too late.

Go Tigers,

Sam

Sam,

I agree that it is unfortunate. This was one of the best teams in the country. I am hopeful that Mitchell returns as soon as this weekend, but Grantham’s injury still hurts. Few teams can lose their best player, but Clemson is like most of the non-traditional powers in that the margin of error is so small. I always compare Clemson basketball to small market baseball teams. The Oakland A’s or Tampa Rays can win, but they can’t win every year and even in their best years they can’t afford major injuries.

Mickey,

After tonight's loss in Blacksburg, I can see us going 1-5 down the stretch. We look completely lost. I realize that we have two starters out, but where is the leadership? Where is the coaching? We can' t do simple things well. I knew things were not looking good when we could not defend an in-bounds play at VT's end of the court.

Kirk

Kirk,

The leadership was in the form of the two injured players. It’s hard to lead from the bench. With two starters out what is the staff to do? They played good defense without Mitchell, but the offense has not been great. This shouldn’t be a shock. Clemson is not talented enough to lose two starters and still play at a high level on the road.
