Paul Johnson is a legend in his own mind but his fake news campaign is just a hoot. I know you can read all types of inaccurate reports on the internet but has Paul checked with his school about how many students Tech has? From what I can see, there are about 5000 more students at Georgia Tech than at Clemson. Based on the size of the football stadiums, yes Clemson has more fans but if Tech is larger, then they should have more alumni. Nationwide opinion would probably say that Tech is a better academic school but if you read the rankings on each school's website, both are highly ranked and both have high admission standards.

Bottom line, Georgia Tech should be a better team this year however here is a news flash for Paul, the all-time record shows that Tech has a 20 win advantage over the Tigers. The truth is Paul has a losing record against Clemson because at least for the past few years the Tigers have figured out how to slow down the Paul Bone offense. Got to love Paul's spin but his school has a huge endowment and if he wants to win any kind of race, the alumni would probably write bigger checks if he recruited better, changed the offense, and wins more games. The talking season has begun.

I like Paul Johnson and think he has done a decent job at Georgia Tech. However, I have always thought there was a ceiling due to his offense. I think he has a hard time recruiting because some prospects don’t want to play in that system. Defensive players don’t want to practice against it in practice.

Another thing that hurts Tech is their commitment from their administration. Many say Tech isn’t committed to excellence like other football powers.

Finally, I don’t think their fan base is as committed as Clemson’s. The energy in their stadium doesn’t feel like a big-time atmosphere. It isn’t as important there.

Nope. It’s a non-story for me. It is a dead period issue. Next week no one will remember it. Non-factor. I still haven’t seen the video. The opponents will try to use it, but it won’t have traction.

I saw the media poll and was surprised N.C. State was ahead of Boston College. In my opinion BC will be a tougher test this season. Do you agree? Thanks. Love your show.

I agree with you. Clemson travels to BC and gets N.C. State at home. State loses Hines and Samuels, I doubt their running game, but Finley is back at quarterback and his group of receivers are talented. The big issue at State is the defensive losses. BC has perhaps the best back in the league and they have fewer question marks than State. However, I don’t see a big gap between BC, NC State, Louisville and Wake Forest. In fact, I wouldn’t be surprised to see FSU dip to that foursome’s level.
