Missed most of the 2018 season due to two injuries and most of 2019 due to several injuries, then was healthy during the 2020 season … one of the team’s fastest players … three-time ACC Academic Honor Roll member … a career .302 hitter with a .411 slugging percentage and .444 on-base percentage in 39 games (37 starts) over three seasons … has six doubles, a triple, two homers, 11 RBIs, 20 runs, 19 walks, 14 hit-by-pitches and nine steals.
2020: Received a redshirt from the NCAA with the season’s suspension on March 12 and cancellation due to a coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic … co-winner of the Mitchell Award, given to the team’s most valuable player … ACC Academic Honor Roll member … hit .364 with nine runs, three doubles, a homer, five RBIs, a .455 slugging percentage, .455 on-base percentage, six walks, five hit-by-pitches and three steals in 17 games (17 starts, including nine as the DH and eight in left field) … tied for 10th in the ACC in hits (24) … led the team in batting average, hits, bunt singles (3), total bases (30) and hit-by-pitches … tied for the team lead in games, starts, sacrifice bunts (1) and steals … reached base via a hit or walk in all 17 games … only Tiger to have a four-hit game, and he did so twice … hit .441 with runners on base and .429 with runners in scoring position … named ACC Player-of-the-Week on March 2 for his four games from Feb. 25 to March 1; he was 11-for-18 (.611) with five runs, two doubles, a homer, three RBIs and a .650 on-base percentage … went 2-for-4 with a single that scored the game’s only run against Liberty on Feb. 15 … went 4-for-5 with a double, RBI and run against East Tennessee State on Feb. 25 … went 4-for-5 with a homer, double, two RBIs and two runs at South Carolina on Feb. 28; was 7-for-13 (.538) with a homer, double, two RBIs, four runs and a .600 on-base percentage in the series … played for High Point-Thomasville in the Coastal Plain League in the summer, where he hit .333 with three doubles, a homer, eight RBIs, nine runs, a .442 on-base percentage and four steals in 15 games; second-team All-CPL selection.
