i grew up in travelers rest sc and always loved CU- the first clemson game i remember is listening to the radio when CU beat UGA 7-6 in 1977 (?) my first game was homecoming that same year we beat UVA 31-0 I was 10 years old and hooked. i went to every home game for many years including the Orange Bowl but when it was time for college my bad grades caught up to me and clemson rejected me so i went to USC but only for one year- the CU USC game that year was in Columbia and I rooted openly for Clemson and thus was blackballed from my fraternity but i didnt care because i knew i was flunking out anyway. i live in mount pleasant and back when i was extra poor i used to deliver newspapers 7 days a week and there was a few times when i got up at 3:00 am delivered the saturday paper in charleston, drove to Clemson for the game and drove back and delivered papers the next morning. i'm bringing up my daughters responsibly they love the tigers my wife used to not like football but she's got Bowden fever now too. i'm moving back to the upstate next year it will be great to go to every game again and drive up and watch practice sometimes too. gotta git- GO TIGERS
