Five-star West Forsyth (N.C.) defensive end K.J. Henry announced he was signing with Clemson in an ESPN telecast Wednesday afternoon.
Henry picked the Tigers out of a top-five with Virginia Tech, Alabama, South Carolina and Georgia. Clemson finished up with three of the top five prospects in ESPN's 300. More on the latest Tigers' signee... K.J. Henry - 5-star WDE - West Forsyth HS (N.C.) Commit since: 12/20/17 Recruiter: Danny Pearman Listed size: 6-5.5 235 Brings to Clemson: Henry's versatility to stand-up and put a hand in the dirt continues a run of elite, athletic ends on the Clemson defense. In addition to pass rush, Henry is adept at containing the edge and alert in knocking down passes. He will only build on that 6-5-plus frame and has all the tools to follow that Clemson D-line path to the pros. Depth chart fit: Like with fellow five-star end Xavier Thomas, how the NFL decisions pan out will determine the depth chart here, but Henry figures to be a first-year factor. Given how Clemson can use his skills, enrolling early will ease that transition to the field immensely. Click here if video does not load Welcome to the #ClemsonFamily, Highlights:
