WATCH: Swinney flagged after Gamecock DB punts bottle |
Everyone saw the embarrassing display shown by Gamecocks fans with their middle finger salutes and throwing garbage onto the field of play during Clemson's impressive 34-10 victory on Saturday night.
Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney lost his cool after a coke bottle was thrown at Hunter Renfrow in the end zone after his short touchdown catch late in the second quarter. ESPN's television cameras didn't really show much of the post-touchdown antics that got the ire of Swinney to make him get a rare penalty on himself. However, a video from WCIV's Daren Stoltzfus shows that Gamecock defensive back D.J. Smith punted the bottle back towards the direction of the Clemson players.
