Brian Dawkins adds Clemson helmet to his display at Hall-of-Fame |
Former Clemson standout Brian Dawkins was named to the 2018 NFL Hall of Fame Class back in February. He will the first former Tiger to be enshrined to the prestigious group during a ceremony on August 4.
Dawkins has sent over several items for the Pro Football Hall of Fame to add to his locker which includes an Eagles helmet, a signed Broncos helmet, some X-Men figurines because of his nickname 'Weapon X', and an old-school Clemson helmet donned with black paw helmet stickers. He was named a second-team All-American by the Associated Press and The Sporting News after his senior year. He was named a second-team All-ACC defensive back in 1993 and 1994, then was a first-team selection as a senior in 1995. For his distinguished NFL career, he had 1,131 tackles, 37 interceptions, 26 sacks, 120 pass deflections, 36 forced fumbles and 19 fumble recoveries.
