-10 after one round. 2 stroke lead. Good start in defense of their championship.

FSU is at -2. But, I can whine because I'm a fan. Our #1 player isn't playing. She won the Augusta Women's Amateur a couple of weeks ago and that gave her an automatic invitation to play in this week's LPGA tourney. So, she's competing against Nelly Korda, Lydia Ko, and the rest.

You knew it had to be played in NC. Swoffie has made it clear that in the best interests of all teams in the conference, NC must host all championships.

Our Top Player turned Pro a few months ago and is also playing in the Chevron Championship . . . you won’t get a towel to cry on here bretfsu® . . .

Who is the Clemson lady you speak of? I'll check her score.

But, on a slightly more serious note, I applaud the fact that the Nole golfer is competing in the LPGA this week. Ladies golf is what college athletics should be all about. Winning an ACC championship would be nice, for sure. But, there are other things more important. Giving her a chance to test her skills against the best in her profession for one week is a great opportunity.

FSU will make the regionals. She will be back and playing with the team then. She didn't abandon her team. She just took advantage of a great, and well earned, opportunity. Her coach understands that.
