Why would UGAly over-look us?

Why would they? Is it because, after us they have a conference, because the way you all are talking they are over looking us because we a equal to FAU.

They shouldn't

I'm sure that will be the excuse, but we're projected to be ranked right behind SCAR, so I don't see why they'd 'overlook' a top 10 or 11 team. That's just dumb.
But that will be the excuse when they lose.

I hear in the Atlanta sports media and from my Georgia friends. But they are putting more importance on their game with Carolina only because it's a conference game that may affect them more in the long run next season.

Doubt they will be overlooking anyone next year - They should be in the National Championship hunt with Murray back. They've got SC at home which should end that three-game losing skid....They have a MASSIVE OL and DL with a good QB and two standout RBs...Will be a tall task but if we beat them it will be a signature win, especially following the bowl game performance.

They really hate the Coots, especially after getting embarrassed last year. They may be looking forward to them because our game does nothing to their conference chances.

Let 'em look forward to playing us 'Coots' 'til Jawja makes 'Yankee Doodle' the state song, they're STILL gonna get their butts whipped by Carolina.

I seriously doubt their team overlooks yall. Their message board fans are though. A week or two ago I found myself in the strange position of defending clemson on the rivals.com national board. UGA fans were acting like game was already in the bag. I had to disagree. Think its a great matchup for yall. A lot of first games are sloppy especially on offense. With the two quarterbacks and lots of weapons returning both these offenses should be ready to roll out of the gate. Both defenses will have questiin marks. Looks to me like uga is going to be heading into a hostile enviroment, for what will probably be a high scoring game, against a team built to win high scoring games. Since I have a built in anti-clemson bias, I have found that when I think clemson will do well they usually do. I said several times here that lsu was a good matchup for yall. I go into looking for why yall should lose. When I cant find that then I am pretty sure yall have a good matchup. Thats what I am seeing here. I will be pulling for uga but as of now think clemson wins.

Mark will have two complete offensive squads working UGAy's defense throughout the preseason.
He'll put one squad on the line and have the other squad behind them ready to jump to the line and snap the ball as soon as it's placed.

Conference games are more important for all teams.

Georgia can afford to lose to you and still have a great season. And they could lose to us and have a great season. But if they lose to Carolina, they in all liklihood have to run the table to win the SEC East. No one wants that pressure. If Georgia played SC State the following Saturday, that would be one thing. Playing a good SEC East rival, is something totally different. Consequently, clemson won't have Georgia's undivided attention in preparing for the season.

The timing of the game works in both teams favor

UGA has a tough second game but will not want to start off bad so it is probably more to yalls advantage in that they cannot play close to the vest in their opener. As you said they can still have a good season but with their schedule they have a good chance of dropping a game after they play us so it only figures that they will not hold back in their opener. Conference game or not, they probably have nc goals above all.

I'm not saying they will necessarily hold back. I'm saying that they will not be totally focused on clemson because of the big conference showdown they will have the following week. And they could still win a nc with one loss in the beginning of the year.

They should be totally focused regardless of the emblem on their opponents uniform. If richt didn't learn that after Boise and y'all 2 yrs ago then it will serve him right

Rediculous notion!!
1. They will be "Up" for top 10 matchup.
2. They hate us/We hate them!!
3. We are going to get one (if not two) of the top recruits in there State.
4. ESPiN "Gameday" will be there in Primetime!!
5. Clemson is going to stomp the MUD$HIT out them, and send them limping back to Athens!!
NO PRISONERS!! NO Excuses
Get ready UGay.....Clemson is waiting to spank your SEC A$$!!!
