Cuse fan..I expect to come down for the Cuse game. I'm flexible where to stay...is Seneca a good choice?

I see you joined in '12. Were you one of those "Our #10 is better than your #10" 'cuse fans?
And Seneca isn't a bad choice, but Anderson is probably better.

Seneca would be fine.

It is about as average of a town/small city as most in the south.
Don't look for fine dining or Shakespear in the Park. But it should be a decent place to stay for a game.

I'm a tailgate and beer type of fan...simple, clean and unpretentious is what I like for motels

There will be no hotels in Clemson for less than a small fortune.
Seneca has one hotel I think...maybe two. They're okay. Nothing fancy.
Easley has two or three hotels, they're all old and not in great shape. But they're tolerable.
Anderson has several hotels of varying quality and I'm sure they've all jacked their rates sky-high by now (bastards). They've gotten very greedy the last several years. Some of the "extended stay" hotels (Microtel-type places) don't jack their rates quite as high or quite as early, but they're still going to be above average.
Greenville is your best bet for a good hotel at a good rate.

In Clemson. Everyone i go to Clemson i stay there. Its within about 4 miles from the stadium so we usually walk to the game. That's my recommendation

If there a 2 or 3 couples or you're bringing family, I suggest renting a house for the weekend. Plenty of vacation properties around Lake Hartwell. Around $750 can get you a 3 bedroom house for 3 nights. I have done that for a couple years now. Much better than motel rooms.
