Because now these young people get to pay their own medical, tuition, and can be reprimanded and fired according to individual state laws. At the end of the day, the university can also furlough them in times of economic crisis. These kids aren't going to know what hit them! That is a positive. It's gonna take tough decisions to force people to realize tbat tbe scholarship method was good.

gleefully predicting how bad things could get for the players. There’s a really intense and childish spite along with it. And I’m sure some of these same people will claim they once supported the players. LOL. Nope. The second something happens that changes their enjoyment, well to #### with the athletes! Such fan entitlement. Pathetic.

No. These players want to be treated as adults! They were given free education (100k plus), free trainer care around the clock, and the world at their fingertips. Some are even getting a college education and cannot even pass the classes. So no like with my own children, I have told them do not wish your childhood away, that the world is tough and cruel. I have no remorse. They want to be employees, then let them. This is not a game and life has real consequences. They are about to learn that. !

Nor are those who entertain them.

It's a value exchange. And now the entertainers, many who have not yet experienced the crushing realities of professional employment, are in for an eye-opening ride, despite their union cards.

"Wait a second. I shot 40% from the field last night."
"Good for you. And we appreciate it. The men outside will help you clean your locker and exit the premises."

"But Im in the union."
"Right. And your union rep is waiting for your call. Good luck."

It's not spite. It's just that they've been getting a lot for their effort for a long time. And people know this will change what they've loved forever for good.
